Extension Lecture on ‘Media, Culture, Society and their relationship with Geography’ organised in the Department of Geography, GDC Poonch | Pir Panjal Post

 Poonch: The Department of Geography, Govt Degree College Poonch, organized an extension lecture on ‘Media, Culture, Society and their relationship with Geography’ on February 24, 2021. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Inderjeet Singh, Assistant Professor (DSJ), University of Delhi. The occasion was graced by the presence of faculty and students of GDC Poonch, who enriched the program through their valuable questions and subsequent discussions at the end of the session.



Mr. Inderjeet Singh, began his talk by defining the dynamism of media, culture, society and successfully established their strong relationship with Geography, through the prism of space and time. He also discussed at length the various sub-themes that shape the socio-politico and economic narratives in our society.


The talk was punctuated at various points, by curious students, and faculty members alike, who sought to dig deeper into the issues concerning gender discrimination, cultural diffusion, media politics, and social geography at regional, national and global levels.
