Poonch: In view of the increasing misinformation being spread on various social media websites regarding acute shortage of Oxygen supply in DH Poonch, Hospital administration on Monday cleared the air over the whole issue. Dr Manjeet Singh, Orthopaedic, presently supervising COVID care, took to Facebook to clear the 'misinformation' and 'rumors', on behalf of District Hospital (DH)team Poonch.
"We have sufficient quantity of oxygen available at DH POONCH to cater the present load of admitted patients as is necessary for level 2 care .Don’t spread misinformation on rumours only" expressed Dr Manjeet Singh on his Facebook handle.
"A humble request to our civilians who are getting admitted at covid wards is to cooperate with staff" in his Facebook post.
He further added that "oxygen is a drug and is needed as per prescription , but many attendants are increasing their flows to maximum on their own which causes harm to the patients (oxygen toxicity) and depletes our resources also. So please allow staff to manage high flow and low flow according to need".

Dr Singh appealed the attendants to "Kindly cooperate and avoid entering covid wards so as to minimize the spread of covid".
Dr Singh, on behalf of Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch requested general masses not to pay heed to any kind of rumours and misinformation. He primarily focused on giving suitable treatment to COVID patients and advised attendants not to create hurdles in the smooth functioning of the hospital, in such hours of crises.
