The webinar on "How to plan start-up, Legal & Ethical steps" to celebrate "Institution Innovation Day" was held on October 15, 2023, and was attended by over 100 students, faculty, and staff members.
Dr. Jasbir Singh Principal SKC GDC Poonch was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He motivated the students by citing various Realtime examples. He also appreciated the organizers. for conducting the successful event.
Dr. Swarker Sharma, Associate Professor and Co-ordinator Start-up Incubation & Technology Enablement Center. Central University of Jammu was expert in the webinar. He shared his insights on the different aspects of starting a business, including:
Identifying a problem and developing a solution
Creating a business plan
Raising funds
Building a team
Launching and marketing your product or service
Navigating the legal and ethical landscape of business
He also answered questions from the audience on a variety of topics, such as how to deal with failure, how to protect your intellectual property, and how to build a sustainable business by calibrating what(products), When (Channels), Processes (How), Customers (Who).
Dr. Riaz Ahmed Head Department of Computer Science & Convener of IIC SKC GDC Poonch said that Innovation is essential for the progress of society, and educational institutions play a vital role in fostering innovation. He said that this Day provides an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together to brainstorm new ideas, showcase their innovative work, and learn from each other.

The webinar was a great success and provided valuable insights to the participants. It was an important event in celebrating Institution Innovation Day and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of SKC Government Degree College Poonch.
