Poonch: Government Degree College (GDC) Poonch organised a farewell party for the Principal of Government Degree College Mendhar, who is going to retire from public services this month, on April 24, 2019 at GDC Poonch.
Professor Shah, who has been one of the most influential teachers of Pir Panjal region, worked as a teacher of Geography in different colleges of the state and later on served as a Principal in GDC Mendhar.
Professor Shah, as pointed out by Professor Tejinder Singh, Principal GDC Poonch, remains one of the most dedicated and hardworking teachers of Jammu and Kashmir region.
Around 10 teachers of GDC Poonch, who has been colleagues and former students of Prof Shah, threw light on his contribution in the Department of Higher Education, as a teacher and as an administrator.
Professor Shah, while speaking to the faculty present, appealed to them to focus on the criticism levelled and instead of responding back. Among the many other things he said, Professor shah emphasised that whatever we teach in class must have its spread effect outside the boundaries of educational institutions. Otherwise, all efforts are in vain, he expressed.
