Poonch: A seminar and a movie screening event was held in the Department of Geography, Shri Krishan Chander Government Degree College Poonch to commemorate World Poverty Day and Sir Syed Day, on October 17, 2023 wherein students of the Department of Geography participated in large numbers. Ms Sonika Sudan, Lecturer in Geography, introduced the programme with a welcome note and the subsequent programme was moderated by Areeba Falak students of semester I, Department of Geography.
In total 06 students namely Ghazia Khurshid, Mohd Rizwan, Mohd
Junaid, Mujtaba Mushtaq, Musharraf shah and Saima Afroz gave Power Point
Presentation on various aspects of Poverty in the world. Imtiaz Ahmed, semester
I, worked behind the camera.
Dr Mujahid Mughal, Head Department of Geography, appreciated
students for participating in large numbers and maintaining discipline during
the event. Dr Mujahid also spoke about Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and his contribution
in the nation building. Dr Geetu Sharma, Lecture in Geography, extended formal
vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
