The Prophet of Peace Conference Held at TRC Poonch | Pir Panjal Post

Poonch: An academic conference titled "The Prophet of peace" was held at Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) Poonch, by Tanzeem ul Islam Welfare Trust on November 15, 2020. 


In total 5 research papers were presented by different scholars from across the Indian Universities apart from few guest lectures delivered by various other luminaries. Dr. Fareed Ahmed, from Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti University Lucknow presented his paper on the topic, "Islam is a religion of peace, not Violence" while Mr. Qazi Nisar Ahmed, a Ph.D Scholar from Jamia Millia Islamia University New Dehli talked on, "Islamic Perspective of Peace". Mr. Azhar Masood, a Ph.D. scholar from Jawaharlal Nehru University discussed the topic "Peace integration and human rights in Islam" whereas Mr. Ikhalq Ahmed of JNU, spoke on "Prophet Muhammad as a Revolutionary Leader".

Mr Habib Bilal, General Secretary of Tanzeem Ul Islam Welfare Trust presented his research paper on the topic, "Islamic concept of peaceful coexistence " Wherein it was emphasized that "Islamic way is the peaceful way only" and not otherwise. Madam Rani Mughal, Associate Professor of Botany, spoke on Women Empowerment in the Modern era, whereas Professor Fateh Mohammed Abbasi spoke on the revival of Islamic values in our daily lives. Dr. Mujahid Mughal recited a self-composed poetic biographical sketch of the Prophet Muhammad.

Chairman Tanzeem ul Islam Welfare Trust, Mr. Adnan Ali, while speaking on the objectives of the trust, in his welcome note emphasized that "the trust stands for peace and harmony across various schools of thoughts, and different socio-religious communities, and it stands against all kinds of sectarianism and extremism. Speaking to Pir Panjal Post, Mr. Nadeem Farooq said that " Such conferences are need of the hour and they're required to be continued". Apart from the paper presentation, the occasion was decorated by Hamd and Naat e Rasool, by Mr. Ajaz, Mr. Nayaz, Mr. Abdaal, and Mr. Anwaar.
