Poonch: Govt Degree College (GDC) Poonch Organises Youth Parliament on January 28, 2019 at GDC Poonch.
The event was categorised into two segments- debate and other parliamentary procedures, wherein 57 students participated from three colleges viz GDC Surankote, GDC Mendhar and GDC Poonch.
Jury for the event included Jahangir Hussain Mir, ex MLA Haveli, Paramjeet Singh, an eminent educationist, Prof Mohd Azam, HoD Zoology GDC Poonch, and Sikandar Hayat Tariq, joint director school education and a writer K. D Maini.
The event which was organised by Dr Farooq Ahmed was appreciated hugely by the guests and the audience.
Gulfaraz Shabir, a student of B. Sc IV bagged the first prize whereas Maryam Tantray and Kanwalpreet Sudan secured second and third positions.
It was briefed by Dr Farooq that the winners of the event will take part in state level Youth Parliament at Jammu.
