Fences | Rani Rathna Prabha K V

This yellow little butterfly

Fluttering over bright green leaves

Would not settle a while

Tearing my view all across

Every moment she flew.

Beyond those fences.

I sat behind those grills of balcony

Watching her flight

A little induced,lest the neighbor

Should catch me wrong as watching..

Those fences all around

I know,were too small

For me to cross over

Still I sat watching dare not to...

Capturing the images in my captive mind

She is here again, fluttering in front of me or maybe mocking

I sat still behind the grills of the balcony

Following her flight over and over

Till she evaded the sight.
