45th Annual Conference of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom held in Poonch | Pir Panjal Post

Poonch: Jamia Zia Uloom Poonch, the Islamic seminary  organised its 45th Annual Conference in Poonch town, of district Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.



A huge number of people from across the Pir Panjal area participated in the conference which was held on April 20, 2019 to award degrees to 57 students who became Aalim and Hafiz in the session 2018-19.

The Zia Ul Uloom group of institutions was established in 1974 by its founder, Maulana Ghulam Qadir Banday, as a small Madarsa which has now taken the shape of one of the prominent institutions of its kind. 



During the 45th annual day, Maulana Mehmood Asad Madni, General Secretary of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind and former Member Parliament too, was invited as a speaker and chief guest.

Maulana Madni first visited Jamia Zia Ul Uloom High School where he interacted with the students and urged them "to be aware of their goals and responsibilities". He also congratulated Maulana Ghulam Qadir, Chief Patron of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom Group of Institutions "for their efforts in providing quality education to the students of remote areas and distressed families". He also interacted with the people at Dak Bungalow, wherein he was apprised by prominent citizens of Poonch about the instrumental role played by Jamia, in maintaining communal harmony and spreading awareness and education in the region.


While addressing the people at Jamia Maulana Madni emphasized on the need to have a "respectful attitude towards other communities and believers, so that a conducive, tolerant and accommodative society can be built".


Maulana Yahya Noomani of Lucknow, also spoke at length about the present crises in family system and it's remedies, he also talked about the issue and it's remedies impressively by quoting Quran and Sunnat.

Maulana Sayeed A Habib, Naib Mohtamim, Jamia Zia Ul Uloom, Jamia Tut Tayibaat welcomed the guests and delivered an introductory lecture about Jamia.
