GDC Poonch Teachers, Students Observe World Environment Day, 2018 | Pir Panjal Post

Poonch: Teachers and Students of Government Degree College Poonch celebrated World Environment Day, 2018 today on June 5, 2018. Posters bearing 'Environmental Conservation Slogans' were displayed in the college premises.

Dr Loveleen Kour, NSS Programme Officer, speaking to the Pir Panjal Post said, "it is our primary duty to protect our surroundings and this programme is an attempt at informing the masses about the importance of Environment".

Mujahid Mughal, Assistant Professor, Department of Geography emphasised upon the need of maintaining a symbiotic relationship of man with his natural environment. Madan Lal Sharma, Assistant Professor, Physics while talking to the students focused on the various challenges to our natural environment posed by our "developmental activities".

The Teachers along with students marched all through the college area to clean the "campus". Moreover many growing plants were irrigated during the march.
