The Department of Political Science, Govt Degree College Poonch organised a seminar today on October 12, 2017 on Democracy: The Road Ahead.
On the occasion, Professor Nusrat Kousar, HOD Political Science addressed the students on the importance of democracy and the challenges it is facing across the globe.
Principle GDC Poonch Mr Mushtaq Lone also spoke to the students urged them to maintain a balance between rights and duties as the responsible citizens.
The occasion was also graced by teachers from different departments of the college including Mr. Shamim Banday, Mr. M. Shah, Mr. Khadam Hussain, Miss Puja Saroch, Mr. Mujahid Mughal, Miss Deepika Parmar, Mr Joginder Singh and Mr Amjad Babar.
Around 10 students from the college presented their papers on various aspects of democracy.
