Ajaz Ahmad of Poonch Manages a slot in National Geographic | Dr. Mujahid Mughal

Poonch: Ajaz Ahmad, 26, of Poonch district gets published in National Geographic, India. Ajaz, who is a teacher at Govt Middle School Seri Khawja, had competed in a photo-contest organised by the National Geographic Traveller, India in the first week of January, 2018.



Ajaz who is an amateur photographer and a web developer from Seri Khwaja Village of Surankote tehsil made it to the website of National Geographic on January 27th, 2018 along with his photograph "Winter in Poonch ".

The picture captures a snow-covered residential edifice at Loyalbela village of Mandi Tehsil of Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"I am happy that Poonch appears on an international platform. This may help in boosting the winter tourism in our region" said Ajaz when contacted.
