Poonch: Doctors of District Hospital Poonch in solidarity with the "Doctors' Association Jammu" (DAJ), Doctors' Association Kashmir (DAK) and Doctors' Association Ladakh (DAL) tied  black ribbons with their arms to stage their protest against the neglect of legitimate, long pending and basic demands of medicos of the state like caderization, pay anomalies, transfer policy, risk allowances, two and a half day pay etc.

However, no routine work  was suspended nor were emergency patients left unattended. Talking to the Pir Panjal Post  Dr Manjit said , "we had given enough time to the government to listen to our genuine demands but no heed has been paid so far". He further said that " our demands are less about money and more about honour and respect to the doctors of the state.

The Doctors assured that we won't let patients suffer, but after the month of Ramzan, "we will go for other forms of protest as well".
