To launch "Swachhta Hai Sewa" campaign, Department of Chemistry organized cleanliness drive. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Shabir Hussain Shah, Principal Government Degree College Mendhar. He exhorted upon the students to make neat, clean and pollution free environment to fulfill Mahatma Gandhi vision of Clean India.
The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the students regarding cleanliness and its benefits. Every student of chemistry department participated in the campaign and even teachers were special part of this drive. The students cleaned the whole department and adjoining area including gas bank, LPG pipelines, apparatus and equipments along with staff members.

Chaudhary, Prof. Javed Manzoor, Prof. Mohd Akram, Dr. Mahroof Khan, Prof. Rajinder Kumar, Dr. Rifat Naz Kouser, Dr. Zulafqar Ahmed, Prof. Zaffar Iqbal, and Prof. Basharat Ali Shah were essential part of this drive.
