Poonch: A seminar on World Ozone Day was organized by the Department of Geography in collaboration with Department of Environmental Science, SKC GDC Poonch on September 16, 2023 wherein 09 students namely, Mussarat Nayeem, Mujtaba Mushtaq, Asia Jabeen, Shazia Kouser, Murtaza Mushtaq, Rashmi Sharma, Sakshi Sharma, Sneha Sharma and Asma Gulzar gave power point presentations on different aspects and significance of ozone (O3) layer.
The seminar was moderated by Mussarat Nayeem, a student of semester III, Department of Geography, SKC GDC Poonch. Bhanu Pratap, Sahil Sharma and Harsimran Singh actively participated in the management of seminar.
The seminar was graced by the presence of Dr Gulshan Ara, lecturer in Sociology, Mr. Hilal Ahmed Dar, lecturer in Environmental Science, Mr. Rayees Ahmed Ganai, Head Department of Environmental Science, Dr Geetu Sharma and Ms Sonika Sudan, lecturers in Geography, Dr Mujahid Mughal, Head Department of Geography, Dr Rayaz Mirza, Head Department of Computer Science, Dr Latief Mir, Coordinator IQAC and Dr Jasbir Singh, Principal SKC GDC Poonch.
Dr Mir and Dr Singh appreciated the efforts of Department of Geography and Department of EVS for organizing such important academic activities apart from throwing light on the importance of the World Ozone Day. The seminar concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Dr. Mujahid.
