The department of Botany, Government Degree College Surankote has organized an online Inter-college Quiz Competition on Plant Physiology. Students from four colleges have participated in the said competition viz GDC Surankote, Poonch, Mendhar and Nowshera. The online competition was organized on 11-05-2020 at 11:25 am. The students of these colleges have shown their deep interest in the specified area of the quiz competition.
The competition was organized by Mr. Basharat Hussain Shah, I/c Department of Botany under the over all supervision of Dr Jasbir Singh, worthy Principal GDC Surankote. Prof. Rani Mughal HoD Botany GDC Poonch, Dr Mahroof Khan of GDC Mendhar and Prof. Pooja Devi HoD Botany GDC Nowshera have extended their cooperation in the conduct of this competition.
The zeal and enthusiasm of the participants encourage for similar competitions to be organized especially in the present lockdown. The competition concluded with special prayers for the patients of Covid-19 for their speedy recovery and precautions for the student community.
