Poonch: Dr Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Assistant Professor and HOD Geography at GDC Mendhar, delivered a guest lecture on "Geography and Daily life" organized by the Department of Geography Govt Krishan Chander Memorial Degree College Poonch on December 17, 2021.
Dr Shah, while interacting with the students, focused on the need and importance of Geography in daily life and also discussed its place in the higher education system.
During the interaction, Dr Shah also attempted to establish a link between the subject matter of Geography and the development of universal values of truth, beauty and goodness among Geography students.
Dr Shah is also scheduled to speak at the Seminar organised by the Department of Geography, in the third week of December 2021 on the dynamics of the physical environment.
The lecture was attended by the faculty of the Geography Department including Prof Khadam Hussain, Dr Mujahid Mughal, Miss Avneet Kour and Prof Mohd Basharat, HOD IT, GDC Poonch.
